Sound technician for film, concerts and art installations.

my journey

Sound came to me through performance: during the pandemic, with no bodies allowed on stage, it was the only way I found to reach an audience.

In France I trained as a sound technician at CIFACOM (BTS Audiovisuel, 2023–2025): choosing microphones, location recording, mixing. Along the way, I’ve recorded and mixed short films, assisted on live sound for an open-air opera festival, installed sound artworks in a gallery, and I now work concerts with Orchestre Hélios in Paris churches.

my projects

  • La Méthode

    • Title card: La Méthode in red capitals on black.
    • Film still: two performers face each other in front of a black curtain.
    • Shooting in a park: a boom operator holds the microphone over the actors, next to Gabriel, wearing headphones.
    • Recording the score in a studio: a close and a distant microphone around a viola da gamba.

Production sound mixer and re-recording mixer; music recording · 2025 · Short fiction, BTS final project, CIFACOM, Paris

A short fiction about a drama student struggling with a monologue, playing with the line between reality and fiction. I recorded sound over three shooting days (an apartment, a park, a studio), then edited and mixed the film to broadcast delivery standards. I also art-directed and recorded the original score for viola da gamba, composed and played by Lukas Carrillo, combining a close and a distant microphone to capture both detail and depth.

  • ANDI

    • Title card of ANDI: the letters cut out over a shot of Andi in a knitted sweater.
    • Andi smiles on set, holding a clapperboard marked “Portrait Andi – Interview”.

Writer, director, sound recordist and mixer · 2025 · Short documentary portrait, CIFACOM, Paris

A short documentary exploring Andi’s experience and identity through an intimate interview. I wrote and directed it, recorded the sound and mixed it. The challenge was an 11 m² room with heavy reverb: a boom and a lavalier mic on set, room tone recorded for post, then noise cleanup, phase alignment, EQ and a light reverb in Pro Tools. No music, no added ambiences: just Andi’s voice.

  • Les Arènes Lyriques

    • Night concert in the Arènes de Montmartre: a performer in white at the microphone, and the audience packed on the steps under string lights.
    • View from the sound desk under a tent: the digital console in the foreground, the audience on the stone steps and the orchestra in white on the round stage.

Sound assistant (internship) · 2024 · Open-air classical and opera festival, Arènes de Montmartre, Paris

An open-air classical and opera festival in the Arènes de Montmartre. As assistant to sound engineer Zéphir Torres, I helped position and angle the PA, set the delay for the rear speakers, install the digital console, stage rack, amplifiers and wireless systems, then cable and line-check before every concert. Being outdoors, we often had to cover or strip everything down when rain came: four weeks that taught me how fast live sound has to adapt.

  • The Tuning of the Afterworld

    • Exhibition poster for The Tuning of the Afterworld: calligraphic title and line drawings over a marbled gray background.
    • Detail of a kinetic sculpture: an aluminum mast with a pulley wheel and stones hanging from threads, its shadow on the wall.
    • Close-up of a red wall box: through its window, brass wires link resistors, a capacitor and a transistor.
    • An installation on the gallery floor: cinder blocks, rubble, branches and two glass bottles on a pool of crushed glass.
    • Wide view of the exhibition: aluminum masts held by white cords anchored to stones, a spotlit pile of rubble, a red wall box and a horn loudspeaker on the floor.

Installation assistant · 2025 · Sound art exhibition, La Box gallery, ENSA Bourges

A sound art exhibition at La Box, the gallery of the Bourges national art school. I assisted with the installation of the works: wiring the motors, programmable boards and MIDI control of Roxane Marquant’s kinetic objects, placing the pieces of Sonia Saroya and Édouard Sufrin’s Derniers Souffles, and watching Basile Richon assemble Réminiscence d’une mer, which turns tides engraved on aluminum discs into sound. It showed me sound as a sculptural material, far from film and concerts.

  • Contre-récits

    • The Contre-récits set: two armchairs draped in white sheets, softbox lights and microphones on stands, with the title in red.
    • Recording an episode in a loft with tall windows: guests on sofas and armchairs speak into microphones while Gabriel adjusts a mic stand, in front of a camera.

Sound recordist · 2025 · Video podcast created by Lucie Hage

A video podcast created by Lucie Hage that sets official history against personal memories. I was the sound recordist on both episodes, from preparing the equipment to recording on set.
